The Cotswold Wedding Dream

I was kindly invited to Lapstone Barn which is a recently renovated barn and now a wedding and events venue just outside the gorgeous Cotswold town of Chipping Camden.

I met Katie who is the Weddings and Event Director and she works alongside her husband Henry (Managing Director) and Agi who is the General Manager. They were all so welcoming and I was given a guided tour of the different rooms within the barn.

I was blown away with how utterly beautiful they had made Lapstone and how it suits the wedding industry so well. From the entrance to the Snug/Holding room which then leads in the main ceremony space. With its high ceilings, beams and exposed Cotswold stone it radiates Cotswold charm and style and would provide the perfect venue for a wedding ceremony. The 18th Century barn was beautifully styled by the lovely ladies from House of Bunting with flower chandeliers and a lace and greenery backdrop at the end.

Through an archway it opens out into a floor to ceiling glass panelled wall looking out over the court yard and which can seat up to 200 guests and at the far end is a bar with a gorgeous log burner.

Upstairs there are two gorgeous rooms for the bridal party to use which has a bathroom, dressing room and has a small kitchen as well as lots of seating and cosy spots which is perfect for hair and make up to be done. The interior design which Katie has done in these rooms are gorgeous and I was swooning over the traditional Cotswolds colours, beams and Moroccan inspired mirrors on the walls.

It’s been lovingly converted and you can tell everyone who works there is really passionate about Lapstone being a huge success. Weddings and Events are being booked in; however there are still some dates left so if you’re looking for your ideal Cotswold venue look no further.

They also have a Wedding Fair on the 17th March.
